2022 Richardson Ranch Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast - Alma Fria

2022 Richardson Ranch Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast

$80.00 750mL

West Sonoma Coast at its most pure. Wet moss, redwood bark and bay laurel lift from the glass at first. These flavors are soon followed on the palate with impressions of cranberries, blood orange and cardamom. A complete wine that transports the drinker into the sea mist and surrounding coastal redwoods!

“The 2022 Pinot Noir Richardson Ranch emerges from a young vineyard in Annapolis. It’s a gorgeous wine… Pliant and creamy… textural richness and intensity without excess weight… Time in the glass brings out striking inner perfume… "

The Richardson family history along the Sonoma Coast began in 1876. With grit, determination and five generations of hard work, the family acquired thousands of acres of timberland and miles of the Sonoma coastline near Annapolis and Stewarts Point. From the beginning, they operated with a deep conservation ethos. In 2016, they worked with the Save The Redwoods League to permanently preserve a significant old-growth redwood forest, including the oldest known redwood tree, which is about 1,640 years of age.

In 2019, just 4.5 miles from the ocean and alongside these massive coastal redwoods, they planted our blocks in their first vineyard, using budwood we provided.
