2021 Plural Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

This darling is a blend of two ridge-top West Sonoma Coast sites. Campbell Ranch, which is just east of the Holtermann Vineyard and six miles from the Pacific, and another West Sonoma Coast Vineyard, which is in the southernmost part of the Freestone-Occidental area about 8 miles inland. The inconsistent berry morphology of the Hyde Old Wente selection is combined with the more consistent Clone 5 to deliver a Chardonnay of weight and texture framed in a bright, lively acidity.

Taste:  Wild aromatics of Meyer lemon, white citrus flowers and green almond offer complexity on the nose. In the palate, Kefir lime, Mandarin orange pith and lemon glaze flavors combine with a Champagne-like yeastiness and minerality. An instant hit!
