NV/ 23 Sparkling Chardonnay
This 100% Chardonnay offers a taunt, crystalline tension with great, textural breadth and tiny, spiraling bubbles. Intensely saline with notes of quince, lemon peel, crushed rocks, ginger, and hazelnut, it is savory and delicious immediately upon opening, and it continues to expand beautifully as it sits in the glass.
The perpetual cuveé now contains twelve vintages but still comprises 50% of the wine, with the remaining 50% being 2023 Chardonnay. It is still a blend of three vineyards, Hawk Hill and Joyce, near Freestone, and Campbell Ranch in Annapolis. It was triage bottled on June 4, 2024, and disgorged with zero dosage in August of 2026. This wine is beautiful now, but it will continue to blossom for decades to come.
